PROCEEDS OF CRIME ACT CONFISCATION HEARING RESULTS IN ORDER OF OVER £2.3 MILLION

Operation Cannon was an investigation into an organised crime group from Huyton, on Merseyside, who were responsible for the wholesale distribution of heroin and cocaine across the UK, predominantly in North Wales.

In November 2016 Mark Burke, from Birkdale Court, Huyton, Liverpool, and Callum Brayton, also of Birkdale Court, Huyton, Liverpool, were convicted for Conspiracy to Supply Class A (heroin and cocaine) and were sentenced to 10 years, and 8 years 7 months respectively. On Monday 6th August during a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing Mark Burke was subject to a Confiscation order of £1,302,638.30, with available assets of £71,728.22. During the same Proceeds of Crime Act hearing Callum Brayton was subject to a confiscation order of £1,003,706,47, with available assets of £28,540.
